Every type of PPE has its own test standard, and UAE sites, main contractors and tender documents usually name it. Match the marking on the product to the standard in your site HSE plan before you order. This table shows what we supply for each part of the body and the standard to look for.

Choosing PPE for a UAE Site in Five Steps
- Start from the risk assessment. PPE is the last line of defence once a hazard cannot be removed or controlled, so list the hazards of the job first: falling objects, sharp edges, chemicals, dust, noise, heat, work at height and moving vehicles.
- Read the site HSE plan. Main contractors and free zone authorities often name the standard and class they expect, such as S3 safety shoes or FFP2 masks. Match it exactly.
- Get the fit right. PPE that does not fit gets taken off. Order glove and shoe sizes against your headcount. Our VT helmets adjust from 540 to 590 mm, with an adjustable chin strap.
- Check that items work together. Safety glasses should sit under a face shield, earmuffs should fit with the helmet, and a harness should sit over workwear without snagging.
- Plan for replacement. Gloves, filters and disposable masks are consumables. Helmets, harnesses and lanyards need regular inspection and have a service life set by the manufacturer, so keep stock to replace them.
PPE That Stays On in the UAE Summer
Every year from 15 June to 15 September, UAE rules stop outdoor work in direct sun between 12:30 pm and 3 pm, but crews still work through temperatures above 40 degrees C on either side of the break. Heat is the main reason workers take PPE off, so choose kit they can keep on for a full shift.

Safety PPE FAQ
- What PPE is required on a UAE construction site?
- Most sites require a safety helmet, safety shoes, hi-vis clothing, safety glasses and gloves as a minimum, plus hearing protection, respirators and fall protection where the work calls for them. The site HSE plan sets the exact list.
- What is the difference between FFP2 and FFP3 masks?
- Both are EN 149 disposable masks. FFP2 filters at least 94% of airborne particles and FFP3 at least 99%, so FFP3 is used for finer and more hazardous dust.
- What does EN 388 mean on safety gloves?
- It is the European standard for mechanical risks. The numbers under the shield rate abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance, and a letter from A to F rates cut resistance on the ISO 13997 test.
- What size are your safety helmets?
- Our VT helmets adjust from 540 to 590 mm with a ratchet or pinlock, and the chin strap adjusts too. They come in white, yellow, blue, grey, green, purple, red and orange.
- Do you supply PPE in bulk?
